  1. PRAY - We feel that each child that lives with us is a special child that God has sent to us.  This child needs HIS love and our love.  We try to teach him or her about God’s love through studying His word with them.  We hope they can see Him in our lives as well.  We also feel that praying for these children is very important.  As a first step, please pray for your special sponsor child every day.
  2. Financial Support – We ask that you send $15 a month to help support this child.  This by no means pays for his or her expenses, but it does help out.  It also gives you a way to help provide for this child’s needs.  This money is to be sent to our forwarding agents (Please see the ‘Contact Us’ section).  Please mark your check with the name of your child.  The check should be made out to:  ‘Formosa Christian Mission’, this will insure your gifts are tax deductible.
  3. Birthday – we ask that you remember your child on his birthday with a card.  This thoughtfulness is extra special to him.
  4. Christmas – we ask that you send your child a Christmas gift.  Is so special for them to receive a gift from you.  The package should be addressed to:

Ted and Bev Skiles
The Home Of God’s Love
The name of your child
P.O. Box 9
Lo-Tung, Taiwan 265  (R.O.C.)

  1. Patience – sometimes we have children for several years, sometimes for only a short while.  If your child leaves we will notify you and reassign you a new child.  We appreciate your patience in this process.
  2. Discontinuing support – If you choose to no longer sponsor a child, please send us a card;  This way we can reassign your child and he can continue to be remembered by someone in a special way.

I hope this has answered your questions.  Please let us know if you do want to sponsor a child and we will send you a picture and specific information on your child.  If you have any further questions, feel free to write and ask.

In Christ,

Bev Skiles
